Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk said that Kyiv wants to buy the Iron Dome missile defense system from Israel. About it informs The Jerusalem Post.
During the press conference, the diplomat reportedly confirmed media reports that Israel had refused to sign an agreement to hand over its Rafael anti-tank system.
“As far as I know, last week the Americans gave permission for the transfer of Spike anti-tank systems manufactured using Israeli technology from Germany to Ukraine, but Israel refused,” the ambassador said.
The ambassador noted that the Israeli media now practically do not cover the topic of the war in Ukraine.
“I want the Israeli government to get out of their comfort zone and get back to reality… We need Israeli help… I mean, we need military technical support; we need the Iron Dome… to save our civilian women and children from Russian strikes. missiles on our territory. We don’t need a donation, we want to buy it,” Korniychuk said.
Remember, Israel rejected US request to allow Berlin to supply Ukraine with anti-tank missilesproduced in Germany using Israeli technologies and licenses.
