MOSCOW, KOMPAS.TV – Russian President Vladimir Putin complained to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan after Ukraine used drone Turkey on the border of the two countries.
The Ukrainian army at the end of last October reportedly used drone Turkish-made Bayraktar in the conflict area of Ukraine and Russia, Donbass.
Ukrainian troops used the drone in a raid against the Russian-backed People’s Republic separatist group in Donetsk.
There were no reports of casualties or damage related to the raid.
Knowing this, Putin immediately contacted Erdogan to complain.
“The Russian president drew attention to the fact that Kiev is continuing its destructive actions aimed at disrupting the Minsk agreement,” the Kremlin said in a statement. Pravda.ru.
“This is evidenced by the activities of the Ukrainian army in the conflict zone, including the use of the Bayraktar drone,” he added.
Putin also reportedly explained to Erdogan that Kiev should be banned from carrying out military activities in the Donbass.
The two also discussed bilateral relations between Moscow and Ankara, and discussed next steps that would contribute to the strength and development of the two countries.
