WASHINGTONRussia abused its position on the United Nations (UN) Security Council, but removing the country as a permanent member was impossible. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said this on Thursday (3/3/2022).

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Russia be removed from its position on the UN Security Council following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last week.

“We didn’t see that happen,” Psaki said when asked about Zelensky’s idea during a briefing at the White House.
