Ukraine. Targets in Crimea hit. Zelensky hopes NATO for grain exports

Geopolitical News

The Ukrainian army continues to strike targets in Crimea, including an airport and munitions and oil depots, but civilian casualties are reported. Infrastructure in the Krasnogvardeyskiy district was also affected, a fact reported by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, but in this case there would have been no deaths or injuries.
In the last few hours, however, the Kerch bridge has been reopened, closed in the morning for repairs following last Monday’s attack, which cost the lives of two people.
Although it is clear to all that the Ukrainian counter-offensive is lagging behind, President Volodymyr Zelensky insisted that “we are advancing and liberating the territories step by step, and operations will soon accelerate”.
Zelensky also met with the NATO secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, to find a solution to the export of cereals, after Russia did not renew the agreement on wheat, brokered by the UN and Turkey, precisely because of the attacks on the Crimea.
Zelensly, who did not go very well at the NATO summit in Vilnius, reminded Stoltenberg of his promise to find a solution on the export of cereals, even if NATO is unlikely to be willing to start a naval war in the Black Sea.
In retaliation for the attacks on the Crimea, the Russians hit the port infrastructure of Odessa with missiles and drones, and about 60,000 tons of grain were lost. Again there were civilian casualties.
