Ukrainian military units have struck twice at the occupation forces of Russia in the Kherson region.
This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the “Unian” agency reported.
Ukrainian rocket-artillery units have struck two Russian command posts, equipment and field ammunition depots in the Chernobaevka area.
The Ukrainian headquarters note that the Russian losses are being specified.
The summary also states that, in general, in the Southern Bug direction Russia conducts artillery fire and focuses its efforts on preventing the offensive of Ukraine’s defenses. It is specified that the areas of Lozovoe, Posad Pokrovsky, Ukrainka, Partizansky, Lyubomovka, Kobzari and Shirokoe were shelled.

“Unian” notes that on July 8 in Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region, an ammunition depot of Russian troops was destroyed for the third time, and in the last few days there have been reports of explosions in Russian warehouses in Kherson and Chernobayevka.
We remind you that it started last month in the Kherson region the preparation for a referendum for self-determination. Kherson has been under the full control of Russian forces for several months now. A request came from the Kremlin that they envisage exactly the form of a referendum to secede these territories from Ukraine. The request is that the status of the region will be “determined according to the will of the people”, and after the referendum or plebiscite, elections will be held in the region. Confirmed the information from the beginning of the monththat the referendum will take place in the fall of 2022.
