Ukraine started to import gas for injection into storage

Ukraine began importing gas for injection into underground storage facilities. At the moment, the volume is only 3 million cubic meters per day.

Moreover, 100% was imported from Hungary, and not from the standard Slovak direction. This was announced by the CEO of the Ukrainian GTS Operator Sergey Makogon в Facebook.

“Since the beginning of the year, a total of 577 million cubic meters have been imported, of which 511 million cubic meters (88%) are from Hungary. The opening of the virtual reverse by the GTS Operator last year allowed diversifying supply sources and creating competition between them,” wrote Makogon.
