Russian troops are advancing in four frontline areas in eastern Ukraine, Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said. The Russians would make progress in Avdijivka, Marijinka, Lyman and Svatove regions.
“Fighting is fierce everywhere,” Maliar writes on social media. “The situation is quite complicated.”
At the same time, according to Maliar, Ukrainian troops are advancing elsewhere in the east with “partial success”. That would be on the southern flank of Bachmoet. In the south of the country, near Berdyansk and Melitopol, Ukrainian troops are said to be advancing “gradually”. This despite “fierce enemy resistance”, according to the deputy minister.
