It seems that Ukraine responded in kind to the massive attacks that hit its capital during the past days, with booby-trapped marches and missiles.

Today, Tuesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Ukrainian forces targeted the capital with several offensive marches, confirming that it had shot them all down.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyani said that drones hit several buildings in the capital, causing “minor” damage, but no serious injuries.

He also added in a statement that “all emergency services of the city rushed to the site of the accidents.”

More than 30 marches

While several local channels and media reported on the Telegram messaging application that dozens of drones had fired at the capital.

It explained that the total number of marches reached 32.. 19 were shot down upon approach in the regions of Rublovka, Krasnogorsk, Istra, New Moscow, Aprilivka and Vlasikha.

About ten of them got stuck in trees and fell. While three of them reached apartment buildings on Leninsky Prospekt, Profsoyuznaya Street, and Atlasova).

Third attack in 24 hours

This came after the Ukrainian capital was subjected to the third Russian attack within 24 hours with more than 20 drones, according to what was announced earlier today by the head of the military administration in Kiev.

Serhiy Popko reported that the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed more than 20 drones that attacked the capital, while at least one person was killed and four wounded, in Russia’s third attack on Kiev within 24 hours. “The attack was massive, from different directions and in several stages,” he added.

The military administration also made it clear that preliminary information indicates that today’s attacks were carried out only by Iranian-made (Shahid) drones.

This attack is the second “deadly” attack on the Ukrainian capital in May, and the seventeenth since the beginning of the month.

It is noteworthy that since the beginning of this month (May 2023), Russia has launched a series of attacks on the Ukrainian capital, using a mixture of drones and missiles, most of them during the night.
