“Today there is an important personnel decision. On the recommendation of the Minister of Defense I replaced the commander of the medical force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Instead of a major general of the medical service Tatyana Ostashchenko as the new commander Anatoly Kazmirchuk, who was the head of the National Military Medical Clinical Center “Main Military Clinical Hospital” in Kyiv, was appointed Major General of the Medical Service.
“The task is obvious – and this has been repeatedly said in the public, in particular in our combat medic community – we need a fundamentally new level of medical care for our soldiers”, said the President of Ukraine.
