“Firstly, I in no way named the figure 500 or 400, I called the general need,” the commander-in-chief emphasized.
According to him, the overall need for people will be divided into certain periods.
“That is, someone will be mobilized in January, and someone even in December (of next year – ed.). 2023 followed the same pattern, nothing special. Thus, this will be carried out in 2024,” explained Zaluzhny.
Mobilization in Ukraine
Let us recall that at the final press conference, President Vladimir Zelensky said that the General Staff was asking to additionally mobilize 450-500 thousand people. According to him, for this there must be a comprehensive plan, which will also address the issues of those who have been fighting for almost two years without a break.
The day before, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the Rada a large bill on mobilization. It is proposed to lower the age threshold from 27 to 25 years, reduce the list of categories not subject to mobilization, send summons to the TCC by email and other initiatives.
