Ukraine Military Mobilization Plan and Winter Readiness Updates

President Volodymyr Zelensky tasked Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhniy, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and other government officials to present a comprehensive plan for further military mobilization in Ukraine as early as next week.

This was said by the Ukrainian head of state at a joint press conference with his Latvian colleague Edgar Rinkevich in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

Zelensky noted that at the Supreme Commander-in-Chief staff meeting on Friday heard reports on the challenges of military recruitment, as well as the options for dealing with them.

The whole plan will be worked out. To be honest, we have already decided on some issues, but I would like people to understand the whole plan of action, where we are going and what challenges we are facing. The full plan on this matter will be there next week. I really believe it will be next week. At least this is the task set before Zaluzhny, Umerov and other ministers, because a lot depends on economic issues, so this must be settled. All of them will report comprehensively next week,” added Zelensky.

Ukraine is convinced that it is better prepared for winter

Ukrainian authorities have acknowledged that not all of the destroyed energy infrastructure has been restored since last winter

At the Commander-in-Chief’s staff meeting on Friday mobilization issues were discusseddemobilization, conscription services, medical examination of conscripts, rotation and conscription.

The official representative of the Naval Forces (Navy) of Ukraine, Dmitry Pletenchuk, said in a comment to Ukrainian media, that this winter will be milder for Ukraine than last.

according to him Ukraine has prepared, taking into account last year’s experience, and Russia no longer has the resources it had in the first year of the war.

For the second military winter, not only the various infrastructures, such as energy, transport and others, but also the national threat response system are prepared, Pletenchuk said.

Many analysts, including British military intelligence, note that Russia has not fired cruise missiles at Ukrainian cities for several weeks. It is believed to be stockpiling them for even more powerful attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in the winter months than last winter.

Kiev: Russia may stockpile up to 900 missiles for attacks on Ukraine this winter

This was reported by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, Ukrainian authorities have acknowledged that not all of the destroyed energy infrastructure has been restored since last winter.

Russia ‘ready to negotiate’ to end ‘tragedy’ with the war in Ukraine. This was stated a few days ago by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his address to the virtual meeting of the G-20.

He emphasized that his country has never refused to participate in the peace talks with Kiev, but reminded that Zelensky has forbidden such negotiations by order.

Before the G20, Putin assured that Russia fulfills all its international obligations regarding exports of food and energy.

In his words, the “colossal stress” experienced by the world’s economies is not the fault of Russia’s actions in Ukraine, but of those of the West and the “reckless macroeconomic policy of some countries”.
