Business Insider reports problems with supplies of both of these weapons systems. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announces decision to supply IRIS-T missile systems to Ukraine It has come as a surprise, among other things, to Egypt, which has ordered such weapons, but now one of the facilities may not be available. However, in any case, the device will not be ready for use before November or December, a media source in the German government revealed.
The situation is not better with MLRS systems “Mars II”. It turns out that the Germans do not have any software at all to use British and American missiles, but Ukraine has received them. Eliminating the problem could take months, the source explains.

Bild quoted German Minister for the Economy and Climate Protection Robert Habek as explaining that Berlin was cautious about supporting heavy weapons in Ukraine because does not want to provoke a direct confrontation with Russia and the Third World War.
The German edition of Welt published documents stating that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had refused to supply Ukraine with heavy armaments – tanks and armored personnel carriers – citing agreement with NATO allies.
