Ukraine: Many North Korean prisoners of war died of their wounds, Zelensky said –

Many North Korean prisoners of war died today in Ukraine after succumbing to their injuries, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message this evening. He even claimed that Moscow is leading North Korean soldiers into the battlefields like sheep to the slaughter, since Russian forces provide them with little support.

“Many North Korean soldiers died today. Our soldiers had managed to capture them. But they were very badly wounded and it was not possible to save them,” Zelensky said, stressing that “there is no reason to kill North Koreans in this war” in Europe. “There are great losses. Big ones. And we see that the Russian military and North Korean officers do not care about their survival,” he continued.

Earlier today, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said “more than a thousand” North Korean soldiers deployed to Russia to fight Ukrainian forces had been killed or wounded in Russia’s Kursk region in the past week. .
