From March 1, 2024, indexation was carried out simultaneously in Ukraine for all categories of pensioners.

2024 – the government adopted a resolution “On the indexation of pension and insurance payments and additional measures to increase the level of social protection of the most vulnerable segments of the population in 2024”, according to which the indexation coefficient is almost 8%.

How much have pensions increased?

So, on average, pensions will increase by 322 UAH, and the average pension in Ukraine will be 5,717 UAH.

“Also, from March 1, the cost of living for people who have lost their ability to work has been increased from UAH 2,093 to UAH 2,361. This will allow increasing the amount of bonuses, additional payments and increases in pensions, calculated from the subsistence level for disabled persons.”the message says.

It is noted that the costs of indexing pensions and increasing bonuses, additional payments and increases to pensions will be carried out within the limits of the expenditures of the Pension Fund budget and the funds provided for in the state budget for pensions for 2024.

From March 1, the increase in the pension of each pensioner will be individual and will affect more than 10 million Ukrainians.

“Since one of the objectives of indexation is to improve the financial situation of pensioners, it is fair, in the opinion of the Ministry of Finance, to ensure indexation of pensions for citizens receiving the least payments. We understand that pensions are the main source of livelihood for our pensioners and their payment is a priority obligation to the elderly, therefore, despite the war, we continue to ensure its timely payment.”added the deputy minister.
