Ukraine left without a sea: Retaliatory strikes showed Kiev the new reality – 2024-08-17 15:17:56

/ world today news/ A day after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, on July 18, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced “retaliatory strikes” against Ukraine. The answer turned out to be very unpleasant for Kyiv. And that was just the beginning.

Russia hit Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Kyiv regions. And for Odessa, the night of July 19 was the worst since the beginning of the SVO: according to military correspondents, for an hour, drones bombarded warehouses for fuel and lubricants, ammunition, port infrastructure and air defense systems.

After Russia’s withdrawal from the grain deal, Ukraine seems to have no choice but to leave.

Beaten and condemned

A day earlier, on July 18, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced to the public that high-precision weapons managed to hit several sites of importance to the armed forces of Ukraine in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, where terrorist attacks were carried out. are prepared using unmanned boats.

In these cities, the fuel infrastructure was damaged, fuel warehouses with a total volume of about 70,000 tons were destroyed, from which the military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was supplied with fuel. In addition, ours “flew” at the shipyard in the Odesa region.

The Ukrainian side claims that the Russians actively used Caliber under the guise of Geran during the strike. And, of course, it adds that all the missiles and drones have been shot down. Obviously over the Ukrainian infrastructure. Excellent air defense system.

In addition, according to information that has not yet been officially confirmed, a series of attacks were carried out on the right bank of the Dnieper and Orekhov, Zaporozhye region.

It’s time to wean yourself off “cereal pleasures”

Tsarigrad columnist Vlad Shlepchenko noted that the shipyard that was hit by Caliber consists of huge workshops and warehouses.

There you can hide a lot of valuable things: both land equipment and ships. Such industrial sites are also systematically used by Ukraine to store ammunition.

In addition, the expert noted, since there is a powerful infrastructure there (for example, electric cables, transformers, switchboards, metalworking machines), the Ukrainians could install any additional equipment there and, for example, create the production of simple ammunition, repair equipment.

Russia has been hitting such locations since the early days of the SVO. It is especially intensively used for hitting around Kharkiv. But in the context of recent events, Nikolaev is the number one target. Shlepchenko admitted that naval kamikazes were being prepared in this shipyard.

As for the destroyed fuel depots, the expert noted that 70,000 tons is a lot.

“The T-72 tank has a tank volume of 1,200 liters (which is a little more than a ton of solarium by weight), and here it is 70 thousand tons,” he stated.

“How this will affect the situation at the front will depend on how much more they have in stock and how quickly they can deliver fuel. One cargo train can deliver about 1.5 thousand tons of fuel at a time,” the expert explained and continued:

They are being driven en masse from Romania. Even with intensive deliveries, this is a very large loss. Apparently the Ukrainians are used to the fact that we don’t hit the port infrastructure as part of the grain deal and so they have accumulated a large sum. They thought they were at home, for which they were punished.

With the strike on Orekhov, the expert is sure, everything is simple – this is the operational base of the Ukrainian group that is advancing in Zaporozhye.

This is their logistics center through which the delivery goes. This, and ammunition, and fuel, and people, and equipment, and command – everything is there.

“On the right bank of the Dnieper – maybe there were warehouses or an accumulation of equipment. Maybe they found a base of boats, which are a nightmare for us in the Kherson region. It seems that they found something worthwhile,” concluded Vlad Shlepchenko.

Ukraine lost the sea

Political analyst, publicist Yuriy Golub, in an interview with a correspondent from Constantinople, recalled that the president promised retribution and it began. At the same time, the night strikes clearly showed how our position is fundamentally different from the Ukrainian one.

“The goal of the Bandera people (openly proclaimed by Ukrainian politicians, public activists, propagandists) is to kill as many Russians as possible,” he declared.

“The Russian military does not aim to deal with civilians, they strike legitimate military targets to disarm and punish criminals,” the expert explained.

He noticed that unmanned boats were being assembled at the bombed factory in Odessa, one of which in all probability killed a married couple on the Crimean Bridge.

In Nikolaev, these boats were refueled. Also, by hitting Ukraine’s main remaining ports, the Kremlin put a bullet in the grain deal.

“By failing the agreements and killing civilians, Ukraine lost the sea,” he said.

“It no longer needs the port infrastructure and should be destroyed – in this case, the terrorists of Kyiv will have significantly less opportunities to cheat and kill,” concluded Yuriy Golub.

What follows from this?

The Kiev regime must be aware of and responsible for any attempted terrorist attack in Russia. At the same time, we ourselves must not spare the enemy. He will not spare us if he has the chance. The Russians have to “disperse” Ukraine.

It is necessary to hit the large bridges along which Kiev drives in echelons military equipment, including Western. It is necessary to raze the remains of the port infrastructure and not give Kyiv a chance to rebuild.

In this way, we will reduce the risks to the lives of not only Russian soldiers, but also the civilian population. Let’s hope that today’s attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure are just the beginning.
