In Ukraine, they are starting serial production of the Shmavik drone, an analogue of the Chinese quadcopter DJI Mavic, which is popular among the military. Hi-tech.ua reports this.
According to the portal, it took a year to develop the drone.
It is noted that it was tested in February 2024 under active radio interference conditions; today the company has produced more than 300 Shmaviks.
“By June 1, the company plans to launch the first production line with a volume of 500 pieces per month. The plan by the end of summer is to reach production of 2,500 Shmaviks per month. The price of the Shmavik package is similar to the Chinese one – about $ 3,500. However, the main thing is that Ukrainian drones are already ready to work in military situations out of the box,” – writing the portal.
The Ukrainian drone is more resistant to damage and electronic warfare, it can carry two munitions up to 1 kg and stay in the air longer on one charge, the Observer telegram channel adds, in turn, local Forbes nomination.
“With a maximum load, it can fly for 35 minutes within a radius of 15 km on one battery, without weapons – 75-80 minutes, depending on flight conditions. The planned capacity allows us to produce up to 5,000 Shmaviks per month,” summarizes TK.
