Ukraine has no talks with Russia/Diena

This is what Yermak said in response to the information spread by several media about talks allegedly held between Ukraine and Russia on the cessation of attacks on energy infrastructure.

“These talks, as written about them, that they are talks between Ukraine and Russia – this is definitely not true,” said Yermak in the interview.

One such publication appeared in the British newspaper “Financial Times”.

The publication wrote, citing informed sources, that preliminary talks are underway between Ukraine and Russia to stop strikes on the energy infrastructure.

“We have held thematic conferences. The first conference was on energy security, it was online and it was jointly organized by Qatar,” said Yermak.

“And when this conference was held, we set the principles regarding this point of the Peace Formula. Many countries from different continents were present,” said the official.

“After that, we set the principles – if today, for example, Qatar or any other country is ready to implement these measures, concluding agreements with Ukraine separately and, for example, with Separate Russian Federation – please, “explained Yermak.

“The same situation is with food security. There was already a grain corridor with Turkey, it was there for a year. When there were two agreements. One was “Turkey – UN – Ukraine” and the other ” Turkey – UN – Russia”, the official reminded.

“It seems to me that all these discussions are happening in response, maybe after these thematic conferences, but I can say for sure that Ukraine is not making any compromises with the Russia,” said the head of the president’s office.
