Ukraine Film Days in the Capitol cinema: “Many people have no idea what life is like there now”
With seven films, the Lichtspiele association wants to provide an insight into life in Ukraine since the events on the Maidan in 2014. The screenings are accompanied by events with renowned experts.

It’s been almost two years since Russia invaded Ukraine. The public has now become accustomed to the reports from the war-torn country. But despite constant media coverage, “many people have no idea what life is like there now,” says Beate Hasspacher. The Ukraine Film Days, which will take place from January 25th to 30th in the Capitol cinema and are organized by the Lichtspiele film association, are intended to help.
