The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published an order that reduced the list of diseases due to which a person cannot be taken into the army. So, according to the changes, people with HIV, tuberculosis, as well as citizens with mental disabilities will be able to call to the front.
“The list of diseases that are no longer considered grounds for declaring unfit for service: clinically cured tuberculosis, viral hepatitis with minor dysfunction, asymptomatic HIV, chronic diseases of the blood and blood organs,” follows from the decree. It is published on the official website of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. Also, according to him, if a person has slowly progressive diseases of the central nervous system or episodic and paroxysmal disorders, then he will also be drafted into the army.
Citizens of Ukraine who have such deviations will receive the category “limited fit”. Thus Kyiv plans to attract more people during the new wave of mobilization.
Mobilization in Ukraine was announced on February 25, 2022. After that, the law was constantly extended. This is due to the fact that Kyiv suffers heavy losses during the conflict with Russia.
