Russia must pay Ukraine $1 trillion in indemnity. Presidential Adviser on Economic Issues Oleg Ustenko stated this on the air of the We Are Ukraine TV channel.
“We are talking to you in general about the compensation that Russia should pay for what it did here in Ukraine, yet we are not talking about $300-350 billion of their gold and foreign exchange reserves. According to estimates in Kyiv, we are talking about $750 billion in direct losses. Add in indirect damage, which could raise this figure to $1 trillion. And now we are talking about 300-350 billion of their frozen assets. They will need to cover at least another half additionally, which is why they are talking about indemnity, compensation that Russia will pay over a long period of time,” said Ustenko, as quoted by the telegram channel “Pool No. 3.”
