Ukraine deliberately drives itself into dependence on Russia and Belarus by opening the import of electricity from these countries. Energy security with massive energy imports is impossible.

“The question is not only that the more electricity we import to Ukraine, the more we depend on the source of its supply, but also in who has the switch in his hands. It is clear that the switch can have a serious impact on consumer behavior. no one wants to live in the world. You can close your eyes to the fact that he is in Moscow and Minsk, but not for long, “the deputy noted.
He stressed that energy security is impossible with massive imports of such a sensitive commodity as electricity. Consequently, the government must take real steps to protect domestic producers and develop their own generating capacities.
“Therefore, the only correct decision would be not only to be“ powered ”from other sources, but also to increase our own volumes of electricity generation,” the deputy noted.
As a reminder, Ukraine resumed imports of electricity from Russia and Belarus in January-February 2021. In the first two months, import costs exceeded UAH 900 million.
