The crews of anti-aircraft missile systems, the purpose of which are UAVs, helicopters, aircraft and ground equipment, have been trained.
In the Kherson region, the air defense units of the South group of troops conducted a training session for anti-aircraft missile systems 9A33 BM3 Osa-AKM. About it informs press service of the General Staff of the APU.
Among the potential targets of the missile system are enemy drones, helicopters, aircraft and ground equipment of the enemy.
“The Osa-AKM air defense system has good cross-country ability and can overcome water obstacles by swimming and has high fire capabilities. It allows you to destroy various targets at a distance of up to 10 kilometers. At the same time, a target can be detected at a distance of up to 45 kilometers,” the message says.
It is noted that the exercises are necessary in order for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be ready for any possible enemy actions on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
Meanwhile, the Russian Federation began military exercises in several regions. Following the exercises of the Western Military District of Russia, maneuvers began in the Southern District. 10 thousand soldiers are participating.
