KIEV – A Ukrainian intelligence chief suspects the President Russia Vladimir Putin might have used body double while attending the summit at Iran this week.

Major General Kyrylo Budanov conveyed this suspicion in a live interview on Channel 1+1. He said a Putin-like figure could fly to Tehran to meet the presidents of Iran and Turkey.

“I’m just going to make a gesture. Please watch as Putin gets off the plane. Is that really Putin?” said Budanov as quoted from Daily StarSunday (24/7/2022).

The Russian leader looked awkward as he descended the steps of his presidential plane in Tehran.

Sources in Ukraine noted he moved very quickly and was more alert than his previous public appearances.

Russia’s number one looked excited as he greeted the attendants, before removing his jacket and climbing into the armored limousine.

The Russian leader’s visit to Tehran where he met Iranian leaders, plus Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, caught the world’s attention.

It is Putin’s second time abroad since launching his brutal invasion of Ukraine five months ago.

In one video, Erdogan makes Putin wait, with the Russian ruler looking uncomfortable as he wiggles his legs and makes strange facial movements.
