Ukraine claims more than 12,000 Russian soldiers died in war

KIEV – Ukraine claiming that more than 12,000 soldiers Russia have been killed since the country attacked its neighbors on February 24.

Russia began a military operation in Ukraine aimed at demilitarizing the country on February 24. The mission, carried out in coordination with Russia’s allies, the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic, began after weeks of increased shooting, sniper and sabotage attacks by Ukrainian forces against militias and residents of the Donbass settlement.
