Alina Pash will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, which will take place this year in Turin, Italy. This is evidenced by the results of the selection, held on Saturday, February 12.
The singer will perform at the contest with the song Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors, which she performs in Ukrainian and English.
Alina Pash received the highest scores from the jury and the second place according to the results of the audience voting. She took first place in terms of points.
In total, eight contestants made it to the finals of the national selection: Alina Pash, Cloudless, Kalush Orchestra, Michael Soul, Our Atlantic, ROXOLANA, WELLBOY, Barleben.
Before the national selection, the singer got into a scandal. It turned out that she performed in the annexed Crimea, and also traveled to Moscow.
The first and second semi-finals of Eurovision will take place on May 10 and 12, and the final on May 14.
