While the UK Competition and Markets Authority is so concerned about Microsoft’s proposed $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard that it has blocked deals in the country, something EU and US competition bodies appear to be concerned about too, the Antimonopoly Committee is less concerned about.
As reported VGCregulators have stated that they are not concerned that the deal will reduce competition in the gaming industry, and have now approved the acquisition.
It follows the likes of Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Japan, and Serbia, with several regulatory bodies in each of these countries making decisions about a deal soon after it was announced.
