Ukraine and France signed a contract for the construction of five ships for border guards

The production contract was signed between the Ukrainian company Nibulon and the French shipbuilding company OSEA.

“Within the framework of this project, the issue of localization and attraction of Ukrainian companies to production is important for Ukraine. As a result of the agreement, we will be able not only to create a powerful fleet for the State Border Guard Service, but also to raise the potential of our companies to the European level. As a result, for our French colleagues, they will open for themselves, Ukraine is even more and they will be confident in our reliability as partners in business, “he said.

These five boats will be built under an agreement signed in 2019. In general, it provides for loans by the French government and leading European banks for the construction of French ships in the amount of 136.5 million euros with the localization of a part of production in Ukraine.

Another 15 ships will be built in France. The transfer of the first vessel from France to Ukraine is planned to be carried out in the spring of 2022.
