Ukraine adjusts grain harvest forecast after record high production – XinhuaThai

KIEV, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) — The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture on Friday raised its estimate for the 2023 grain harvest by 3.8 percent to 59.7 million tons after increasing the amount. Yields reached a record high of 54.7 centners per hectare (5,470 kilograms per 6.25 rai) this year.

Ukraine expects to harvest 30.1 million tons of corn, 22.2 million tons of wheat and 5.8 million tons of barley in 2023.

The ministry remains unchanged in its estimate of this year’s oilseed harvest, which is 21.6 million tonnes.

Earlier this week Ukrainian National Cereal Association It is estimated that Ukraine’s grain and oilseed exports from this year’s harvest could reach 50 million tonnes.
