The competition authority has asked the American giant Facebook (Meta) to sell the animated platform Giphy, purchased last year for $ 400 million, because this transaction would have a negative impact on the competition between social networks, writes Reuters, according to Mediafax.
“We protect the interests of millions of social media users and promote competition and innovation in online advertising,” the competition authority said. Facebook (Meta) has announced that it does not agree with the decision and is evaluating its options to challenge it.
