LONDON, KOMPAS.com – The British meteorological agency on Friday (15/7/2022) issued a Red Warning or a red warning for the first time, because: UK temperature which is incredibly hot.
British authorities expect a record high temperature to hit 40 degrees Celsius next week.
“Incredible, maybe record-breaking temperatures will be early next week,” said the head of the UK’s meteorological agency or the Met Office, Paul Gundersen.

The Met Office added that there was a 50 percent chance that temperatures would hit 40 degrees Celsius for the first time on Monday (18/7/2022) or Tuesday (19/7/2022), and an 80 percent chance that the country’s previous record was 38.7 degrees Celsius on Monday. 2019 will be surpassed.
“Nights also tend to be very warm, especially in urban areas,” Gundersen said AFP.
“This is likely to cause widespread impacts on people and infrastructure. This level of heat can have adverse health effects.”

Meanwhile, “Queen Elizabeth’s Land” hospitals warned of a surge in patient admissions due to Britain’s hot temperatures. Train operators also notify passengers in anticipation of trip cancellations.
