According to the Reuters news agency that day, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Executive Chairman Ursula von der Laien, head of the EU administration, announced this agreement in a joint statement after a call on the morning.
The issues of negotiation are △fair competition conditions, shipbuilding △fishing rights △governance to resolve future disputes.
The key is how much the UK will adhere to the EU’s economic rules.
However, there is still a possibility of a’no deal’ as opinions of the two sides are mixed.
Prime Minister Johnson announced his intention to continue preparing for the no-deal Brexit in January next year.
Prime Minister Johnson said in an interview with Sky News that day, “(after the Brexit referendum) we have been preparing for four and a half years,” and “we are ready.”
