Moscow, 16 may (Sputnik).- The UK has delivered more than 300 armored vehicles to Ukraine from its reserves and other sources, British Deputy Defense Minister Annabel Goldie said on Tuesday.
“The UK Ministry of Defense delivered over 300 armored vehicles from its own reserves and other sources around the world,” the deputy minister wrote in a note posted on the UK Parliament website.
Goldie assured that the delivery of the armored vehicles is an “admissible risk” for the defensive capacity of the United Kingdom and should not cause “shortage of potential” in the future.
The British authorities announced that in the summer the training of Ukrainian pilots will begin and work with other countries will continue for a possible delivery of F-16 fighters to kyiv.
The Guardian newspaper reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky discussed with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak the creation of a “hunting coalition.”
Numerous countries have condemned the special military operation that Russia has been carrying out in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, and have supported Kiev with arms supplies, donations, humanitarian aid, and sanctions against Moscow.
Russia, for its part, sent protest notes to all countries that supply weapons to the neighboring country.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned that Western countries that support Ukraine are becoming parties to the conflict and any arms shipments to Kiev will become a legitimate target for the Russian Armed Forces. (Sputnik)
