UK Adds Indonesia to List of Red Zone Countries

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

English enter Indonesia into the list of red zone countries following a spike in cases corona virus.

The official website of the British government stated that Indonesia was previously on the yellow list, then the level was raised to red.

“Starting at 4am on Monday 19 July Indonesia is on the red list to enter the UK,” reads the announcement on the website gov.uk.

Those on the red list are countries with a high risk of Covid-19 transmission.

As quoted from inews.co.uk, immigrants from red zone countries are required to undergo a Covid-19 test before departure with evidence of negative results.

Then undergo a 10-day quarantine in a hotel designated by the British government.

The British government has also banned its citizens from traveling to Indonesia.

“To prevent new Covid variants from entering the UK, you must not travel to countries on the yellow or red list.”

Indonesia continues to record an increase in Covid-19 infections to set a record high case for several days in a row.

As a result of the surge in Covid-19 cases and the more contagious variant of the Delta corona, which continues to spread, a number of countries have also limited their borders to Indonesian citizens.

Recently, Bahrain has banned flights from Indonesia.
