The son of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Muhoozi Kainerugabawas asked to leave the American social network Twitter.
From now on, Muhoozi Kainerugaba he will be able to express himself on social media only on issues relating to sport, as stated by the Ugandan head of state Yoweri Museveni, aware of the clamor aroused by the provocative tweets of his eldest son.
“He’s going to leave Twitter. We’ve had this discussion. Twitter isn’t a problem. The problem is what you’re tweeting,” he said in an interview with a local Uganda TV channel.
“Talking about other countries and Ugandan politics is something he shouldn’t and won’t do,” added Museveni.
The general> he will not be able to stay on the networks, as long as he limits himself to comments on sport, for example.
Prior to his public apology, the president’s son specifically suggested that he and his army would not need “two weeks” to seize Kenya’s capital Nairobi.
He also criticized former Kenyan head of state Uhuru Kenyatta for not running for president in August, when the constitution forbade him from serving more than two terms.
His rude remarks earned him being replaced in his post as commander of the ground forces by the president who nevertheless defended his son, calling him “an excellent general”.
