The Boucle des Coteaux du Comminges, a UFOLEP cycling event reserved for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd categories, will have its fifth edition, on Saturday May 4. This is an online event of almost 90 kilometers which crosses around ten towns in the Coteaux sud sector of the Community of Communes Cœur et Coteaux du Comminges. The race will leave from Saman and head towards the Lannemezan plateau using the D5.
At each edition the organizing club “Roue Libre Saman” chaired by Baptiste Lacroix and Céline Junqua innovates; so last year the race was preceded by an advertising caravan with old cars from the Amicale des bielles commingeoises. These old mechanical enthusiasts will be there, more numerous bringing a festive dimension to this sporting event.
This time the event can be followed live. It will in fact be filmed and broadcast on the big screen in the village of Saman and on social networks. “In addition to the sporting spectacle offered by this event, we wanted to provide additional entertainment for roadside spectators but also those who remain at the start. Enlivening and promoting our territory is one of the objectives of our cycling club. We “We thus affirm our desire to participate in the life of our villages. We are doing everything we can to ensure that this new edition is welcoming and friendly, whether you are a runner, a follower or a spectator” declare the two co-presidents.
This sporting event is based on the partnership established with the departmental council, the Community of Communes and the town hall of Saman.
