DAKAR- The Guinean under-17 selection is staying in Senegal where they will continue their preparations for the UFOA A tournament, which qualifies for the next African Cup of Nations in its category. The young Guineans, who are starting a 10-day preparation at the Diambars sports center, did their first training session on Senegalese soil on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
To comply with the requirements of the cadet competition, the 33 pre-selected players will undergo an MRI test this Wednesday, October 9. It is at the end of this test that the team’s coach, Désiré Fokou, will publish the list of players selected for the UFOA A U17 competition. This tournament will be held between October 20 and November 3, 2024, and the Guineans are in group A along with Gambia, Liberia and the host country, Senegal.
