sport">The Demolition Man’s last fight for the UFC was in Las Vegas in early February, when he was bleeding in the second round and knocked out against Russian Alexander Volkov. The UFC has not yet announced the news itself, but Overeem has already been removed from the rankings.

sport">In 2011 Overeem made his debut at the UFC. Before the UFC, he fought for the unions Strikeforce, Dream and he also competed in K1. In 2010 he won the K1 World Grand Prix, making him the only martial artist ever to be World Champion in both MMA and K-1.

sport">Whether Overeem will continue as a fighter at another organization is unclear. “For now, we are not making any further statements except that we look back on a great 10 years of UFC,” his management said when asked.
