A month ago the new format for the Champions Leaguebut now, according to information from L’Equipe, UEFA would be planning to implement a new competition that will serve as a prelude to the Champions League from 2024.
According to the French media, the European Super Cup -which was played by the champion of the Champions League and the champion of the Europa League- would change so that the winners of the Conference League and the one of the Europa League.

In this way, the new tournament would have the purpose of bringing together the winner of the Champions League with other “three highly successful teams”. Although, according to AP, those clubs would be the “first classified in the regular league” in the new Champions League format. This, affirms the newspaper Marca, would cause there to be greater competition to access the top positions.
The estimated date for it to be played would be in August and it would consist of two semifinals and one final. However, another of the highlights expressed by L’Equipe is that the place that would host these duels would not be the Old Continent, but the United States.

Despite not being official and not having a possible name for the championship, from France they assure that the idea has pleased the clubs and the competition committee.
