The new group stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, which kicks off on October 5, already knows the names of its 16 participants. Kharkiv, Breidablik, Juventus, Arsenal and Benfica are the last to join the list, after solving their second round qualifiers today.
The one that faced Twente and Benfica was the only one that reached the second leg even after the 1-1 in the first leg. But the Portuguese have left no room for doubt and reach the group stage thrashing (4-0). Lacasse hat-trick in a match that was sentenced between minutes 43 and 50.
There was also a win and hat-trick in Prague, where Arsenal, who had already won emphatically in the first leg, beat Slavia again (0-4). Miedema, who also scored in that victory, has scored the first three goals for his team in less than a quarter of an hour into the second half.
There was also no color in Kpavogsvöllur, where Breidablik, who came with a minimal advantage, defeated Osijek (3-0). Tighter have been the triumphs of Kharkiv against Apollon (3-1) and Juve against Vllaznia (1-0) but both will be in the group stage, which will be drawn next Monday. Along with the twelve teams classified in the two previous rounds, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain will directly enter the hype.
