UEFA signs Crypto as global sponsor of the Champions League until 2027

The Uefa sign your First Cryptocurrency Sponsor for the Champions LeagueThe sports organization has reached an agreement with Crypto to become a global sponsor of the top European club competition until 2027the parties have announced in a statement. The financial details of the contract are unknown.

In addition to the Champions League, The agreement includes the European Super Cupwith which Crypto debuts tonight by activating in the match between Real Madrid and Atalanta BC in Warsaw (Poland).

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA’s marketing director, has highlighted that with this alliance, “innovative technologies to enhance the experience for our fans and our community.” Crypto already has sponsorship deals with major global sports properties such as the F1 and the UFCin addition to giving its name to the Staples Center, a legendary Los Angeles stadium Lakers of the NBA, which in 2021 was renamed Crypto Arena for 700 million dollars (639 million euros) and a 20-year contract.

The other global sponsors of the Champions League are Heineken, PlayStation (Sony), Lay’s (PepsiCo), FedEx, Mastercard and Just Eat.
