The Executive Committee of the European Football Association (UEFA) revealed the value of the prize money for the winner of the European Nations Cup “Euro 2024”, scheduled to be held in Germany, which amounts to 8 million euros ($8.7 million).
According to the German News Agency, the European Union will pay 331 million euros in total prize money during the tournament, which is the same value as the prize money for the previous edition of the tournament in 2021.
All 24 teams participating in the tournament will receive an amount of 9.25 million euros at the beginning of the tournament, including an amount of 1.5 million euros when any team qualifies for the round of sixteen.
The team that qualifies for the quarter-finals will receive 2.5 million euros, 4 million euros upon reaching the semi-finals, and the runner-up will receive 5 million euros.
The winner of any match gets one million euros, and the break-even point is worth 500,000 euros.
In the best case scenario, the winner of the tournament will receive a total of 28.25 million euros in rewards from UEFA.
