The success of Shakhtar and Dnipro-1 allowed Ukraine to significantly improve the situation in the UEFA coefficient ranking. At the moment, our country occupies the 14th place and has a chance to overtake the Czech Republic by the end of the season, which has a similar figure (28,550 against 28,500 in Ukraine).
It is important that the success of the two best clubs has made it possible to halt the decline that had emerged at the beginning of the season. As a result, already at the moment the coefficient for the current season is 4,700, while for the whole of last season it was only 4,200. Even before the end of the group stage of European competitions, this resource can be replenished – and it is to be hoped that Shakhtar and Dnipro-1 will also score points in the spring.
