Lions will play in Croatia and eagles in Slovenia
UEFA announced the formation of the Futsal Champions League Main Round groups, in which Sporting and Benfica will participate.
The lions, finalists in the last edition of the Champions League (they lost to Palma Futsal on penalties), will play in Croatia against the host Olmissum and also against Ayat (Kazakhstan) and HIT Kiev (Ukraine).
In turn, Benfica has scheduled a trip to Slovenia to measure forces with Dobovec, United Galati (Romania) and Etoile Lavalloise (France).
The main round takes place between the 24th and 29th of October and the top 3 in each group qualify for the Elite Round.
Here is the constitution of the four groups:
Group 1: SPORTING, Olmissum (Croatia)*, Ayat (Kazakhstan) and HIT Kiev (Ukraine)
Group 2: Barcelona (Spain), Anderlecht (Belgium), St. Andrews (Malta), Loznica-Grad (Serbia)*
Group 3: Palma Futsal (Spain, champions)*, Kairat (Kazakhstan), Haladás (Hungary), Differdange (Luxembourg)
Group 4: BENFICA, Dobovec (Slovenia)*, United Galati (Romania), Etoile Lavalloise (France)
