PRAGUE – The footballers of Slavia Prague, in the lineup with Slovak striker Ivan Schranz, came close to progressing to the UEFA European League. In the first playoff match, they defeated the Ukrainian team FC Zorja Luhansk 2:0 on their home turf.
They confirmed their significant playing and shooting superiority (12:1 on goal) with two goals in the final quarter. Schranz played the 57th minute, his compatriots Jakub Hromada and Michal Tomič were on the bench. Rematch is scheduled for a week on August 31 in Lublin, Poland.

The first duel between Swedish BK Häcken and Scottish FC Aberdeen ended in a 2:2 draw. The home team had a 2-0 lead from the 69th minute, but it was even in ten minutes.
Sparta takes home a two-goal deficit
Sparta Praha’s footballers progressed to the group stage of the European League. In the first playoff match, they lost 1:3 to Dinamo Zagreb.
Sparta’s Slovak midfielder Lukáš Haraslín played until the 62nd minute. The players of Olympiakos Piraeus, who beat FK Čukarički 3:1 at home, are also closer to progressing to the next stage.
