UEFA President Čeferin welcomes lower ticket prices

UEFA is touting the lower ticket costs as part of the association’s efforts to “make European football more accessible and affordable for all fans.”

“By introducing more fan-friendly measures, we remain committed to ensuring that football remains an inclusive sport in which fans who travel across Europe to follow their teams are valued and recognised,” UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin is quoted as saying.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, club boss of Paris St. Germain and chairman of the European Club Association ECA, also welcomes this step. “Reducing the price cap for tickets for away fans in the UEFA men’s club competitions is an important signal from all ECA member clubs that they are actively contributing to improving the match experience for fans.” It is the concern of all those involved to ensure “that travelling fans can enjoy their teams to the fullest across Europe.”
