Wales took the lead 1-0 with Neco Williams’ goal in the 7th minute.
Uğurcan Çakır, who started the match in the first 11 for our national team, could not continue the game due to injury. Çakır was replaced by Altay Bayındır in the 33rd minute.
The first half of the match ended with Wales leading 1-0.
Yusuf Yazıcı converted the penalty kick into a goal in the 70th minute and the score was leveled: 1-1.
As there was no other goal in the remaining minutes, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
With 17 points, the Crescent and Stars team finished as the leader of their group in the qualifiers.
In the other match of the group, Croatia beat Armenia 1-0 and qualified for EURO 2024 by placing 2nd with 16 points.
Wales, third in the group, made it to the play-offs.

The National Football Team closed the first half trailing 1-0 against Wales in the last week of the UEFA 2024 European Championship (EURO 2024) Qualifiers Group D.
In the 4th minute, Wales came effective. Broadhead, who caught the ball from Ferdi Kadıoğlu’s back pass, came to the penalty arc from the left side and made a place shot. The leather round went narrowly out of the post.
Wales took the lead in the 7th minute. Neco Williams, who received the ball on the left wing after Wilson’s pass, dodged Ferdi and entered the penalty area diagonally. When this player placed the ball into the far corner, the ball went into the net from the round corner: 1-0.
