Kozhikode: In the union elections in colleges under Calicut University, UDSF has won in the colleges which SFI had held for decades. UDSF won six places including Victoria College in Palakkad district. But SFI maintained supremacy in the district.
This time the UDSF front made gains in colleges dominated by SFI for decades, Mancheri NSS, Nadapuram, Trithala, Tavanur Govt. Colleges won UDSF. This time, KSU has shown good performance as it captured campuses like Palakkad Victoria College and Pattambi NSS College from SFI in Palakkad district.
In Malappuram district, MSF has achieved success, including in government colleges. In 28 colleges, MSF ruled alone and in 15 colleges. The fraternity also excelled, winning the union in four colleges singly and numerically in 15 colleges. SFI, which has won union rule in 120 colleges, has come forward this time as well. SFI retained major campuses like Kerala Varma College, Meenchanta Arts College, Christian College and Pazhassiraja College.
