Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the emergency meeting on Wednesday. The reason is the extensive Russian missile attacks that have resulted in the vast majority of Ukrainian households losing electricity.
Formally, it was the United States and Albania that requested the meeting of the Security Council.
