Ubuntu 21.10 Impish Indri brings Wayland on Nvidia cards

According to plan a new version has been released Ubuntu 21.10 codenamed Impish Indri. This release will be supported for nine months, until July 2022. In addition to the major version of Ubuntu, all official offshoots are also available: Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu.

GNOME is available in version 40. The new version brings the ability to run Wayland on Nvidia cards. PulseAudio 15 offers better LDAC and AptX audio codecs and an HFP profile for Bluetooth.

The new 5.13 kernel improves hardware support, including Intel Alderlake S and AMD Adebaran processors. Microsoft Surface laptops and tablets are also supported, and initial support is available for the Apple M1. The default firewall in this version is nftables, and Firefox is only available as a Snap.
