UBS sold just an office building in Lugano, a Ticinese real estate company. It is not just any property, but so far, the Central building for the UBS strategy.
The buyer is a longtime friend of UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti. His name is Stefano Artioli and occurs with Sergio Ermotti of Events.
Artiolis company, which acquired the Ticino real estate, is a group called Artisa. This stayed the same as the UBS CEO in the low-tax train.
Earlier, Stefano Artioli and his Artisa group had sought to be near to the large UBS. They pitched right in the middle of “Zurigo”, on the parade Platz 4, their tents – right next to the main building of the Bank.
A spokesman for UBS, said yesterday on request: “We are pleased with Artisa immobiliare SA to have a local buyer from the Region found.”
“Our overall Footprint strategy, we just keep building with strategic relevance – for example, if it is important for our core business.”
“For this reason, it makes no sense for us to keep the building in Manno in our property. We remain in it but a tenant.“
“Our branch, as well as the UBS Business Solutions Center with the competence center for Artificial Intelligence remain thus, as in the past at the site. The sale is a clean building is a strategic decision.“

Ermotti stop in a few weeks as the head of the financial multinationals. He is the new President of Swiss Re.
In Ticino, Ermotti is one of the most influential business people. He has foundations and socializes with Tito Tettamanti, a “Tycoon” from the Südkanton.
